Halloween

Well, I wished I had great pics to share of my little "batgirl", but the bat girl dropped the camera and it decided to fall apart soooo.... had a great time trick n treating in a friends neighborhood... we have lived in our house for 17 yrs and I have NEVER had a trick or treater It makes me kinda of sad because I love seeing the kids dressed up and the creativity is awesome!!!! saw some really great costumes a parent in our group dressed up as dirty laundry it was great !!! but here is a pic to TP wanna be last year... scared his little sister pretty bad.. but she was ready for him this year : )  TP was himself this year a washed up MX rider being as he just got back from a race... had lots of Mississippi Mud on him, nope not the cake although I'm thinking of making one right now :) 

Can't believe its been a month

I can't believe it has been a month since I have posted anything... Life is crazy like that
TP wanna be got his bike fixed although it did put a pretty big dent in the momma pony replacement fund, but i feel that he is worth it.  Mommas think like that
The bug girl is asserting her independence, I guess bug girls think like that, can't believe she is almost 3.

Have been to two MX races since the bike went to the bike Dr. haven't done any good really, TP needs to learn not to be a gentlemen on the track... thats all I'm gonna say about that... if a girl chooses to race, well then she is a racer first, then a girl ... promise that is all about that... I think that is all I'm gonna say... sometimes mommas have alot to say :) 

Sold Again

Remember last week, I said I thought I had found a horse in my budget... well its sold too before I could get down there to look at it... but Chaneybug did learn to ride her scooter, oh excuse me its a gooter so its not all bad. :)

Fall

 

I love this time of year love to get up early in the morning before the world has woke up, enjoy the peace, watch my horse graze, somehow  it gives me peace.  Makes me a better me... even the crowing rooster gives me peace like he is saying "hey get up, Look at a beautiful day we are going to have.  Feels weird not going to a bike race on a Sunday, but until the dirt bike gets back from the Bike Doctor no more bike races for the "TPWB"  so I'm going to enjoy my horse, the crowing Rooster and everything God gives me to look at early in the morning.

What A Weekend

What a Weekend!!!! it was a busy weekend... 1st stop to the Fortune 5 Barrel race to watch my niece ride... believe it or not she has had this little mare "Cato"  or as we affectionately call the "Little Black Mare" thanks   Chaney bug... all summer long and this was the 1st time I was going to get to watch her run.. and of course I walk in right when she is finishing up... but she had a nice run and she is a nice little black mare.
Then Saturday we were off to the dirt Bike race for TP wanna be, and his engine locks up on the starting line... Thankfully a family that we barely knew offered to let "TP" borrow one of his daughters bikes... yes it was green and "TPWB" prefer yellow, but it more than got the job done and we were so thankful, because we were getting ready to load up and head back home which was 2 1/2 hours.   He did really good and finally took the inside line and made me proud... got home after 3A.M.  I'm getting way to old for that, and the Chaney bug is way to young for that... Took the bike to bike doctor its worse than we thought, but not as bad as it could be.
There were a few accidents at the race a couple of broke collar bones, and one wreck I don't know what happen because I was praying to God to keep my baby safe while he was on the starting line...
Sunday "TPWB" had his 1st date I was a nervous wreck.... he needs to leave the girls alone for now there will be plenty of time for them later... 
Niece ran 1 one hundreth of a second too fast, broke bike, 1st date and a sick be-be all in 3 days was a little much but we are happy and healthy and that is all that matters and I might have found a line on a new pony for me... although my budget has been cut alot since the bike decided to pull a dumb-dumb, but TPWB is worth it and I think I can work it in!!! God is good!!!!

Phone call

Well you know when your kids go off for the weekend you always kinda cringe when the phone rings.  I had one of those phone calls Sunday night, should of know when MIL asked to speak to hubby... anyhoo  the skinny kid, you Travis P wanna be... decided it would be a good idea to jump from the  rack on the 4 wheeler onto a tire swing... it didn't turn out to well... hence the phone call.... " we think skinny kid broke his leg"  what do you mean he broke his leg?  well it swelled up really quick, and he felt something snap... I'm like great  100 miles between us... Thankfully its not broke, had to get a few stitches, and some Benadryl for the fire ants he fell into.. and he asks to stay at the Lake...I think he really bumped his head... made it home... and he thinks he is going to get to race next weekend.... I think I should had the doctor examine his head :) 

Its been a while...

It has been a while since I have posted, we survived the summer albeit a little busy... Really fell down on the blogging stuff,  will try to do better.. Still haven't found a new horse yet... the Old lady isn't going to hold up to running barrels again for any period of time... so we shall see have a great labor day!!!

Introducing.....

Well we have a new family member after lots of begging, crying, whining, pleading, and promises...I said I was going to stay strong... I wasn't going to bend, I wasn't going to give.  Hubby says I have Sucker tattooed across my forehead when it comes to my Kids .... My Travis P wannabe broke me... here she is....

Meet Reid we really only know that she has some Heeler and they are thinking some Fox terrier... she ought to be hard headed for sure... she was pound bound... and since she had already been adopted once her survival options weren't looking to good.... but what could I have done I couldn't send her back to the pound... the lady had her sister too, but there was no way I could take on both of them .... she was really cute too more terrier looking, and a little more yippy... I already have one yip-yap dog.... so far so good Reid is really quiet, and seems pretty content and if your wondering about the name Reid here is her name sake....you can check out his site here


I guess he was figuring they were somehow both Aussie's :)

Horse Shopping Part II

Well with the long weekend ahead of us, I took Friday off thinking I could go check to potential new ponies out... I have been eyeing the 2 beautimus potentialees for the past 2 weeks... yea, I've been looking but when your on budget oh well you know it takes a while... any how 2 catch my eye... I get home Thursday evening get on line to get the phone numbers... I rather talk to a person about horse than email... you just seem to get a "feel" .... 

potentialee #1  black gelding, nice reining lines okay really nice reining lines... I was shocked, no distraught, well I was really, really sad to see between work and home he had been marked sold... I mean come on I'm only six miles from home... you gotta give a girl chance to get in touch with you :)  so I move on to potenilee # 2  just a plain sorrel mare, kinda  bred like my mare  now but with Frenchmans guy throw in for good measure... I love me some Frenchmans guy now... anyhoo I call the people leave a message and wait, and wait heck i waited some more finally gave up head out the barn and take care of the girls... get up Friday morning still no phone call Surely they want to sell this horse Right?  so I email again, I'm in shocked she is sold too...so back to the drawing board again : ( .  So I went and rode Fancy last night with SIL it was nice just to get out of the house and on the back of a horse for an hour or two...

Why???

Why does your Mother in law decide to just stop by when your house looks like a F5 tornado decided to run around in your house?  just wondering because this just happen to me!!!! although I'm taking the long weekend  plus and extra day to get it all back in shape  Do people not realize I actually have to work ?  well thats my vent for the day

couponing

Well, I have been trying my hand at couponing, yes me,  I am kinda of cheap in that aspect : )

Those are just the ones I remember,  all and all I saved 46% of my grocery bill and I was so excited.... I need to start putting the $$ back in the Whoapony  pony replacement fund :) 

Horseshow Season is here

Well Horseshow season is here and the Tater bug is ready oh excuse me that is READY.  I promise that child goes to sleep and wakes up breathing ponies and horses and the next time she gets to ride in the big mud (arena) I guess it looks like mud to her because the dirt is turned up.  Here are some pics from this past Friday that is her aunt Michele that leads here in... Well off to get something done around this house... oh and TP wanna be is out of school for the summer and we survived our 1st year of middle school YAY!!!!!!

Snakes!!!!!

Snakes.... I know I'm not suppose to hate anything but.....Snakes... sorry, I just can't find a way to tolerate them let alone like them... and when you find one in your water trough at the barn trust me it will send you reeling backwards!!!! Thankfully my barn neighbor was able to save the day, he said it was a good snake well in this girls eyes no snakes are a good....and he turned that joker lose in my pasture.... so upon leaving the barn this evening I was tip toeing through the pasture doing my snake walk.... I so need to start carrying my camera everywhere I go  so I can start showing you guys all the crazy things I run into!!

What had happen was

Well you see what had happen was...... I'm always scared when my son starts a conversation with that.... I mean a fear like the ground is going to open up and just swallow him... I just never know what to expect when he utters those words. But I sure as heck don't know what his father was thinking letting him wear his brand new hoodie to a paint ball park of all places!!!!

Spring has Sprung

Spring has Sprung in our neck of the woods!!! time to get outside, but 1st things 1st... Spring cleaning of the house :( So I guess I better get busy... Have been horse shopping everything I have seen online that interest me is really to far away for a day trip...nothing close to me in my price range... oh the joys of shopping on the budget.... but it can be done... so on the list of things to do today... spring clean the house this weekend.... so we can be outside once again enjoying the sunshine!!!! hopefully with a new horse pretty soon :)

Horse Shopping

Yep, you heard me I'm horse shopping.... not by choice but by necessity.... for my sanity....
A Girl gotta do what a girl gotta do... Its time for me to get back to my hobby especially for my family's safety, not really but as long as they think that, its gonna work to my favor, trust me on this one...
I was hoping to bring the old lady back to barrel racing, but in retrospect I think its better for her if I just continue to let her live the life of Riley, and enjoy my trail rides and time with her, I can't believe she is 20 next month and can't believe that it has been 4yrs ( next month) since I have ran barrels...
Well off to hunt a new pony, but its gonna have to be on a budget, I so don't like shopping....especially on a budget...
