Holy Moly Time has Flown

Sorry for not blogging in so long it has been crazy around here... Never knew one person could be so busy... okay I knew it but was just kinda of hoping it wouldn't be me :)

TPWB  has now entered high school he is okay with it, alright he is over joyed with it... I'm not makes me kinda of sad because I know in a few short years he will be leaving me and that is something I just want to think about for now.

However he has made the Cross Country team! Go Wildcats!! brings back memories of when I used to run,  yes key word used to.  He has ran varsity as freshman 8 out of 10 races, makes me very proud.   There was an article written about the Regional Race last week with just a tidbit about him and another freshmen runner on his team... I don't think I could be any prouder.  Here is the link to it. Region 7 Article and yes we do get into our high schools around here :)

so next weekend we are heading to the State Championship Meet.  Don't know how we will do, but pray all of the teams have a great run and some PR's are set.  And, I will be sending a little special prayer up for my son's team, They have to be the best group of kids I have had the pleasure of meeting and getting to know. Well until next time, which I hope to do better than 8 or 9 months.

Oh my o my

Well it has been a while since I have posted.  I have been crazy busy, but that is not always a bad thing.  Here is a run down of the latest happenings:

Finally, got my mom into her apartment that was a major feat.  Our house is way to small for us let alone another person.  I mean seriously you can only make 3 bedrooms for 5 people go so far. 12 weeks of a house guest was really hard.   She wasn’t  really happy about getting her own place, she wanted to live with one of us girls, moving from one of us to the next as she saw fit.  She has always had that Gypsy lifestyle even when us girls were growing up.  I think her Gypsiness (is that a word ) is why I’m such a homebody.

And, that saying raising a teenager is like trying to nail jello to a wall…. well guess what that is SO TRUE.   I’m serious I think a kid turns 13-14 years old, they fall down bump their head, and all common sense falls out!!!  That’s all I have to say about that. But I will say I think God knew what he was doing when he decided my kids should be 10 years apart.

We had to put our Jack Russell Shaky Syd dog to sleep, that was a really sad day.  The tater bug still thinks she is at the dog doctors, I know I should just tell her but after going thru all the death stuff with TPWB at her age, I just don’t think I can go through al of that again.  Yes, I know I’m a sissy.

I guess I have officially retired Fancy, she is now barefooted all the way around. I just love that mare, I might bring her back but at her age I feel like I owe her the retirement she looks pretty darn good to be 22, I just hope to keep it that way.

Got my oldest registered for High School, It really made me sad my bebe is growing up damn it.  And, I’m missing him already.

well, that is the highlights, won’t bore with the mundane details, you know the day to day stuff.  having a house guest for 12 weeks being on beck and call. But know that spring is officially here, guess I need to get  some spring cleaning down and get started on my bucket list.  so much to do and have no idea where to start, guess I’ll just pick somewhere and work my way out.

1st week of the New Year

Its been pretty uneventful around here so far,  guys went to ride dirt bikes, going to try to find sometime to ride Trouble today.

I did sign up for the the  "The Great Trailrider's Distance Derby" I’m really looking forward to get started on that, I’m thinking its what I need to get my tail in gear.  Have been looking for a GPS that is technotard proof  and learn about my tracks and stuff.  Thankfully I have a 14 y old LOL

I did get some pictures this week, so I am keeping that goal just none of them I think are interesting enough to post.  and I need to get them off of my phone and camera.

Got to go out and take my FIL out to lunch tomorrow for his birthday, Why do people always pick the most expensive place to eat…. I mean the cheapest thing is a baked potato at $5 Hello I can buy 5lbs of potatoes for $5…. Don’t mean to come across as cheap, but we are trying to save for a new house with property, and it seems like for the last 10-12 weeks we have been having to go to eat out at a minimum of $60 a dinner … it adds up quick… Yes, I am a numbers nerd, and are following  Dave Ramsey  hope to be debt free by the  end of the year.. But It will be worth it to spend some time with my FIL he’s a really great guy.

well, I better get busy on this house and get some stuff done around here, because we are still running around like a chicken with our heads off, with everything we got going on….

2012 is Here

Yay!!!! Hope everyone had a Happy and Safe New Years Eve.  We spent our time at a barrel race watching my niece and my sister in law riding.  It was great fun  I haven’t been at that arena well over a year.

I really need to find my big girl panties and go ride Smile

decided I’m not going to set any resolutions this year, but I am going to set some goals and try to achieve some dreams.   I hope everyone one else does too.

here a few of mine

1. Try to spend more quality time with my kids & family

2. Take a picture everyday for the entire year, just what ever floats my fancy

3. start riding and barrel racing  again and pray to the Good Lord above I don’t totally embarrass myself and I can at least run an 18 sec pattern that is going to take a lot see below

4. Get back in shape, so desperately need to get back in shape LOL, it is totally scary in that department over here

5. Get TPWB back on the track and having fun on his bike

There are lots other but going to try to concentrate on just a few at a time… oh got to get this house cleaned out and organized it amazes me at how much stuff we have accumulated  crazy I tell you crazy.

TPWB is Back

Well TPWB is back!!  We actually took a break from dirt-bike racing this past summer and fall.

I think TPWB needed the break, I know his Dad and I did.

But he is back, he had to move up in bike size, we still have to get it set up shock wise for him, because he so light weight, reminds of a bobble head on the track.

Took him to practice, only the 2nd time on this bike,  the 1st time him and his Dad went, TPWB came thru the back and informed me that not horses can throw their riders, dirt bikes can too.  Dad was trying to show him something on his bike and apparently the bike threw him.  But all is well, except a few sore muscles.  But so glad to see my son back doing something he loves.
