Its been a while...

It has been a while since I have posted, we survived the summer albeit a little busy... Really fell down on the blogging stuff,  will try to do better.. Still haven't found a new horse yet... the Old lady isn't going to hold up to running barrels again for any period of time... so we shall see have a great labor day!!!

Introducing.....

Well we have a new family member after lots of begging, crying, whining, pleading, and promises...I said I was going to stay strong... I wasn't going to bend, I wasn't going to give.  Hubby says I have Sucker tattooed across my forehead when it comes to my Kids .... My Travis P wannabe broke me... here she is....

Meet Reid we really only know that she has some Heeler and they are thinking some Fox terrier... she ought to be hard headed for sure... she was pound bound... and since she had already been adopted once her survival options weren't looking to good.... but what could I have done I couldn't send her back to the pound... the lady had her sister too, but there was no way I could take on both of them .... she was really cute too more terrier looking, and a little more yippy... I already have one yip-yap dog.... so far so good Reid is really quiet, and seems pretty content and if your wondering about the name Reid here is her name sake....you can check out his site here


I guess he was figuring they were somehow both Aussie's :)

Horse Shopping Part II

Well with the long weekend ahead of us, I took Friday off thinking I could go check to potential new ponies out... I have been eyeing the 2 beautimus potentialees for the past 2 weeks... yea, I've been looking but when your on budget oh well you know it takes a while... any how 2 catch my eye... I get home Thursday evening get on line to get the phone numbers... I rather talk to a person about horse than email... you just seem to get a "feel" .... 

potentialee #1  black gelding, nice reining lines okay really nice reining lines... I was shocked, no distraught, well I was really, really sad to see between work and home he had been marked sold... I mean come on I'm only six miles from home... you gotta give a girl chance to get in touch with you :)  so I move on to potenilee # 2  just a plain sorrel mare, kinda  bred like my mare  now but with Frenchmans guy throw in for good measure... I love me some Frenchmans guy now... anyhoo I call the people leave a message and wait, and wait heck i waited some more finally gave up head out the barn and take care of the girls... get up Friday morning still no phone call Surely they want to sell this horse Right?  so I email again, I'm in shocked she is sold too...so back to the drawing board again : ( .  So I went and rode Fancy last night with SIL it was nice just to get out of the house and on the back of a horse for an hour or two...

Why???

Why does your Mother in law decide to just stop by when your house looks like a F5 tornado decided to run around in your house?  just wondering because this just happen to me!!!! although I'm taking the long weekend  plus and extra day to get it all back in shape  Do people not realize I actually have to work ?  well thats my vent for the day

couponing

Well, I have been trying my hand at couponing, yes me,  I am kinda of cheap in that aspect : )
I must say today I did pretty darn well

Oscar Mayer bologna for 48 cents
All detergent for 99 cents 
Those are just the ones I remember,  all and all I saved 46% of my grocery bill and I was so excited.... I need to start putting the $$ back in the Whoapony  pony replacement fund :) 

Horseshow Season is here

Well Horseshow season is here and the Tater bug is ready oh excuse me that is READY.  I promise that child goes to sleep and wakes up breathing ponies and horses and the next time she gets to ride in the big mud (arena) I guess it looks like mud to her because the dirt is turned up.  Here are some pics from this past Friday that is her aunt Michele that leads here in... Well off to get something done around this house... oh and TP wanna be is out of school for the summer and we survived our 1st year of middle school YAY!!!!!!

Snakes!!!!!

Snakes.... I know I'm not suppose to hate anything but.....Snakes... sorry, I just can't find a way to tolerate them let alone like them... and when you find one in your water trough at the barn trust me it will send you reeling backwards!!!! Thankfully my barn neighbor was able to save the day, he said it was a good snake well in this girls eyes no snakes are a good....and he turned that joker lose in my pasture.... so upon leaving the barn this evening I was tip toeing through the pasture doing my snake walk.... I so need to start carrying my camera everywhere I go  so I can start showing you guys all the crazy things I run into!!
